Virtual Coffee with NEADS on Friday, June 12 at 3:00 p.m. EDT

Come join the National Educational Association of Disabled Students (NEADS) for our virtual coffees, every Friday at 3pm Eastern Daylight Time. Share your experience and ask questions relating to accessibility supports, discuss mental health, and meet new people (for now, all from the comfort of your own home)! The coffee conversation, or with tea if that is your preferred beverage, will be via Zoom - details are below. Our next chat is Friday, June 12th at 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. EDT. We are using our Zoom professional account now to ensure we have the full hour for this event.

This week we are thrilled to have Lauren Gravis, Director of the NEADS Student Awards Program and Eniola Askisanmi, NEADS Student Awards Program Assistant, deliver a presentation at the start of our coffee chat on the NEADS Student Awards ($3,000), the NEADS Holly Bartlett Memorial Award ($1,000), the NEADS Christine Nieder Memorial Award ($1,000) and the AMI Robert Pearson Memorial Scholarships ($5,000). Lauren and Eniola will tell us how NEADS has delivered $280,000 in awards to 106 outstanding college and university students with disabilities across Canada since the inception of the program in 2007 and our plans to build capacity to offer more awards in the future.

There will be time after the presentation for questions and for a general check-in "around the table" to find out how folks are doing.

Join the Zoom Meeting. Captioning will be available.
