Administrative Assistant: Media Support summer position at Dawson College

Job Description: 
The Student AccessAbility Centre at Dawson College is hiring! The candidate would work as an assistant in our office with a focus on the production of short, on-line instructional videos and assistance with the revision of our website. As the Canada Summer Jobs Grant subsidizes this 10-week job, we are looking for someone under the age of 30 who also has a documented disability. Anticipated start date: Monday June 3rd, 2019

Responsibilities:
•    Assist in the production of short tutorial videos using a mixture of screen capture, video, PowerPoint and audio recordings
•    Assist in the revision of the SAAC website
•    Tend the front desk when needed
•    Assist with general office work when needed
•    Invigilation of exams
•    Other related tasks

Requirements:
•    Experience with programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Audacity
•    Basic knowledge of Word Press
•    College diploma or university studies are an asset
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Ability to work independently and in a team
•    Task oriented, organized and detail oriented
•    Knowledge of assistive technology or universal design for learning is an asset

Eligibility:
The Canada Summer Jobs Grant subsidizes this position.  To be eligible to apply, you must be:
1.    Under 30 years old at the start of the employment
2.    Have a documented disability
3.    Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act 
4.    Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada
