NEADS signs on to support Trans Action Alberta Coalition

The National Educational Association of Disabled Students (NEADS) has just signed on as a supporting organization of the Trans Action Alberta Coalition. We are a cross-disability, consumer directed non-governmental organization that represents post-secondary students and graduates with disabilities. We have been watching closely with great concern over what's going on in Alberta with Premier Danielle Smith's harmful policies in the education system that will seriously hurt trans and gender diverse children and youth, including those with disabilities. We have joined other national groups including Egale Canada and Pride at Work Canada and the Canadian Anti-Hate Network to lend our voice in solidarity through this campaign.

Frank Smith, National Coordinator, National Educational Association of Disabled Students (NEADS), Rm. 514 Unicentre, Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario, K1S 5B6, tel. (613) 380-8065, ext. 201
