NEADS Seeks Panelists for Spring Events

The National Educational Association of Disabled Students (NEADS) is seeking panelists for our upcoming spring events! We invite all disabled students, graduates, and professionals with relevant lived experience to apply by sending a resume or biography to carly.fox@neads.ca. For more information on the available opportunities, please read below.

Attendant Services Panel - May 13th at 12pm EDT

This panel will explore the lived experience of students using attendant service programs (whether organized individually or through school programs), the barriers posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the future trajectory of attendant service programs in Canadian post-secondary institutions.

Graduate Studies Panel - June 10th at 12pm EDT

This bilingual panel will explore the lived experience of graduate students with disabilities across disciplines to examine common barriers in pursuing higher education, and available resources to empower students to succeed.

Virtual Access for All Panel - June 24th at 12pm EDT

In the latest of our Virtual Access for All Panel series, representatives of on-campus disabled student groups will explore the importance of communication and advocacy with emphasis on the experience of multiply marginalized groups and the impact of the ongoing COVID19 pandemic. Priority will be given to representatives with lived experience as a multiply marginalized individual (ie. BIPOC, LGBTQ2S+, first generation Canadians, francophones, etc).
