University of Winnipeg Students' Association (UWSA) launches the 'More Than A Door' campaign

On Wednesday, November 18 at 4:00 PM CST the UWSA will be launching our ‘More Than a Door’ campaign which will raise awareness about environmental accessibility  and advocate for additional automatic doors on campus. An exciting line up is in store for that evening:

Sarah Anderson: UWSA Accessibility Director
Lara Coombs: UW Accessibility Services Coordinator
Shane Burcaw and Hannah Burcaw: Youtubers Squirmy and Grubs and Founder of Laughing at My Nightmare

Since student voices and opinions are at the heart of what we do, a key aspect of this campaign is a survey. The idea is to gather input from students and alumni regarding the physical accessibility of UWinnipeg and where they feel automatic doors would be of most benefit. The survey can be accessed here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/morethanadoor

This event is open to everyone including students, faculty, staff, advocates, community members and allies. We would love to have you attend! Please pass on the details to your contacts as well and encourage them to come! The full event page and Zoom link can be accessed here: https://theuwsa.ca/morethanadoor/

Please feel free to email me any questions you may have. Your effort to spread the word would be greatly appreciated! Hope to see you there!

Kind regards,
Sarah Anderson
