Self-Advocacy as a Disabled Student During COVID-19 - Simon Fraser University (SFU)

The Simon Fraser University (SFU) Disability and Neurodiversity Alliance has a "Self-Advocacy as a Disabled Student During COVID-19" event coming up on September 22nd!
"How do we advocate for ourselves as disabled students during the COVID-19 pandemic? Let’s discuss and share tips and strategies!
Topics include:
- Accessing academic accommodations through the Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL)
- The impact of COVID on accommodations
- How to communicate with professors & TAs
- Tips and strategies to self-advocate when facing urgent barriers
Notes will be taken during the discussion, which will be turned into a public resource. If you share any personal stories, you will remain anonymous in the notes and anything you want to keep private or confidential will not be in the notes.
Date: Tuesday, Sept 22, 2020
Time: 1:30-3:20 pm
