October 13, 2012
JOIN US OCTOBER 13, 2012 FOR THE 2ND ANNUAL TORONTO DISABILITY PRIDE MARCH 2012 The Toronto Disability Pride March began last year as part of Occupy Toronto. It continues as an event of celebration and awareness building. WHY WE’RE MARCHING: • To bring recognition of the struggles and value of people with disabilities as we fight against ableism and other forms of oppression. • To be visible and show that we have a voice in our community and a right to be heard by taking to the streets. • To celebrate and take pride in ourselves as a community of people with disabilities. When & Where: The March begins Saturday, October 13, 2012, at 1pm in Queens Park. We will march to Nathan Phillips Square via Bay Street. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO TAKE PART YOU CAN FIND US ON: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/TOdisabilitypride/ Twitter: @DisabilityPM Our Website: http://torontodisabilitypride.wordpress.com/ Be Loud, Be Proud, Come March with Us!
