For Immediate Release August 6, 2013 The Disability and Rights for Citizens (DRC) Initiative Announces a Town Hall Meeting to Discuss International Human Rights and Present our Final Report. The DRC project is a grassroots initiative that has presented disability and human rights workshops on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) across Toronto for the past year. The Town Hall will feature panel speakers from the Project's community partners and participants with disabilities. Panelists include: Barbara Hall, Chief Commissioner, Ontario Human Rights Commission Vangelis Nikias, Council of Canadians with Disabilities Melanie Moore, Centre for Independent Living in Toronto Moderated by: Ed Montigny, ARCH Disability Law Centre DATE: September 3, 2013 LOCATION: 519 Church Street Community Centre (at Wellesley St. East) TIME: 5:30pm - 8:30pm RSVP BY: August 27 to Melanie Moore at: 416-599-2458 ext. 222 or by e-mail at: melanie.moore@cilt.ca This event is wheelchair accessible.
