Canadian Association for Research on Work and Health (CARWH) 2016: Advancing Research to Improve Work and Health

Sunday, October 16, 2016 to Tuesday, October 18, 2016

CARWH 2016, the 9th Canadian Association for Research on Work and Health Conference, is taking place on October 16-19, 2015 in Toronto, Canada

Co-hosted by the Occupational Cancer Research Centre (OCRC) and the Institute for Work & Health (IWH), CARWH 2016 will offer a stimulating and diverse program of keynote presentations, parallel and poster sessions, and symposia. With the theme, Advancing Research to Improve Work and Health, the program will reflect the excellence of work and health research across the country.

CARWH conferences have brought together scientists, students/trainees, practitioners in occupational health & safety, epidemiologists, clinicians, and policy-makers every two years since its inception in 2001. CARWH meetings are interdisciplinary and seek to bridge important gaps in work and health research by promoting knowledge exchange, research partnerships, and translation of research into the prevention and management of work-related injury and illness. CARWH conferences are based in Canada but have consistently attracted the presence of researchers from around the world.

CARWH 2016 will be held in the heart of downtown Toronto, at the Chestnut Residence and Conference Centre, 89 Chestnut Street, Toronto, Ontario. Register today!

Welcome

The Occupational Cancer Research Centre and the Institute for Work & Health are delighted to co-host the CARWH Conference, Canada’s premier meeting focused on work and health research.

The 2016 conference is the 9th biennial meeting that promises to build upon the success of the 2014 conference in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan by offering a stimulating and diverse program of keynote presentations, parallel and poster sessions, and symposia. The program, developed by the CARWH 2016 Scientific Committee with support from the Occupational Cancer Research Centre and the Institute for Work & Health, reflects the excellence of work and health research across the country.

We are planning several opportunities to engage with like-minded researchers and students over the course of the conference, including a welcoming reception and gala dinner. We hope that you enjoy the conference and some of the exciting flavours, sights, and sounds of Toronto during your stay.
