Join the Gender and Sexuality Resource Centre and the Carleton Disability Awareness Centre on March 4th from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. for an evening of queer ASL and deaf culture with the Carleton Sign Student Society!

Ellen Hibbard and David MacMillan will be facilitating a workshop that explores queer deaf culture, the challenges of being queer and deaf, and research relating to deaf LGBTQ+ communities. There will also be activities to teach participants queer signs in ASL.

Following the workshop, there will be a social complete with food and games, in order to practice ASL and to meet new people in queer and/or deaf communities. Come on out to learn something new and make new friends!

Accessibility: the space is wheelchair accessible, there will be an interpreter present, and there is a gender-neutral, accessible bathroom across the hall. No or minimal scents please.
