Description	What is financial literacy? The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) defines financial literacy as �providing people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to make responsible decisions that will best suit their situation." What is Financial Literacy Month in Canada? The Parliament of Canada declared November Financial Literacy Month (FLM). To mark FLM, Student Awards and Financial Aid (SAFA), University of Ontario Institute of Technology, will be providing you with financial tips on Facebook and Twitter, holding workshops and bringing in guests from outside financial organizations. We also have contests and prizes! Workshops For the Love of Money (pizza lunch-and-learn): In this one-hour session, SAFA staff will explore a wide range of available financial resources and teach you how to create a proper budget based on your personal resources and expenses. This fun session will use interactive games to help you learn how to create a realistic budget that can support your personal and educational requirements. We will show you what money you have and how to make the most of it. Date: Monday, November 24 Time: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Location: Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre (CRWC), Room G2019 Registration: Register using the form below Give Me a Little Credit (pizza lunch-and-learn): This workshop, presented by Consolidated Credit Counselling Services of Canada Inc., will help you make the most of your credit. Date: Tuesday, November 25 Time: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Location: CRWC, Room G2019 Registration: Register using the form below The Road to Repayment (pizza lunch-and-learn): This workshop will be presented by the National Student Loan Service Centre and will include information regarding the repayment of debts, consolidations and how to make an easy transition into repaying your Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) and other loans.
