Conference Information 2013 CHHA Conference & AGM Information When: May 23-25, 2013 Hosted: Canadian Hard of Hearing Association in partnership with the CHHA: Edmonton Branch Where: At the Fantasyland Hotel located in the West Edmonton Mall Address: 17700-87 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5T 4V4 Schedule of Events (tentative) Thursday - May 23 Trade Fair open to both conference delegates and the public at large in the afternoon from 2 pm to 6 pm. Opening Reception from 7 pm to 9 pm. Friday - May 24 Opening Plenary Session followed by Workshops, Trade Fair (11 am to 5 pm), and Silent Auction. Saturday - May 25 Plenary Sessions followed by Town Hall, AGM and Closing Banquet (Entertainment). Full Registration Includes: •Opening Reception on May 23 •Access to Trade Fair on May 23-24 •Access to all Plenary Sessions •Access to all Workshops and Scheduled Meals •Access to Town Hall and AGM •Closing Banquet on May 25 •Assistive Listening Devices and Captioning For All Scheduled Workshops and Events Special Programs: Workshops The theme for the 2013 Conference is “HEAR we go again....The Fun continues for the young and young at HEARt.” A full line-up of educational workshops has been scheduled for May 24 and 25, 2013. Some of the topics to be discussed include cochlear implants, strategies to enhance well being during aging, assistive devices, and accessibility. Trade Show Up to 30 booths from companies representing the many areas that affect the everyday lives of hard of hearing people including displaying and demonstrating the latest technology. Staying true to the conference theme, the trade fair will also include exhibits relating to general areas of wellness and health. Silent Auction A Silent Auction will take place at the conference in support of the local CHHA Branch.
